We went on city tours bus tour of Belfast which we bought online, We only had to wait ten minutes for the bus and it was open topped perfect for the sunny weather,We went to the Ulster Museum and spent the day going around it and exhibits, Special mention to the gentleman doing the commentary he was excellent and even did a couple of tunes, while going around the city, this tour is excellent modern buses, friendly staff, with plenty of history explained as it went around the city, We hopped off 3 times in total and driver gave us a time for pickups, when we came out the driver and bus where waiting so we got to do everything we wanted, really enjoyable a must do tour.
Our guide was Gavin and what a lovely man he was. The tour took us all around Belfast, to the Stormant, a truly beautiful building/grounds, the Titanic Museum and to the Shankill Road and surrounding streets where all the "troubles" occurred. He was so knowledgeable and I can honestly say that I was never taught the history of Ireland at School (I wonder why!!). It made me feel sad the plight of the Irish but I've been heartened by the true friendliness and cheerfulness of its people despite all what has happened in their lovely country. It was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. Thank you
This is the best way to see Belfast. Fab knowledgable guide giving lots of information on all the sight seeing points of interest. Very informative with lots of photo opportunities. Open top bus with a small part partially covered if it happened to rain up top. Great value for money as your ticket lasts for 3 days, you are able to pop on and off at the various places. It cost £10.00 online so cheaper to buy here than off the street, well worth the money, it also gives you money off other places of interest such as Titanic experience, which is on the route of this tour.
