Carrickfergus Castle

Steeped in over 800 years of history, this is one of the most intact Norman castles in Ireland & Britain.

Dating back to 1177, Carrickfergus withstood centuries of sieges by Scots, Irish, English, and French forces and served as an air raid shelter during World War Two.

You will have the option to enter the castle and learn more about the castle's impressive history or grab photos from the outside and enjoy a scenic reststop.

Antrim Coastal Route

Built in the 13th century which was once the seat for the Earls of Antrim until the impoverishment of the MacDonnells in 1690, following the Battle of the Boyne and the Clan picking the losing side of King James II.

You will get the opportunity to enter the ruins of Dunluce Castle, or simply enjoy a final iconic photo stop.
